I was shocked to see this go before legislature. I know several teams that would not be able to afford the switch and there is NO data that supports if the batter was using a wooden bat, Patch would be alive today. Now had the batter been using a bat from the 95-97 era, I would agree. The bat companies, have complied with recent standards that protect the players.
